One of the Moms of a boy in Oly's class (Levon!) used to work in the Philly music scene and has friends at our local member-supported radio station. The one that produces a little show called, World Cafe? Yeah. We have a radical local music station. Well she got us a tour at the offices and we got to take a TRAIN into the city!
Here's Oly's class with the guy who sells tickets at the Rose Valley Station, and he was a seriously cool and hip dude.
Here we are with Kathy O'Connell, who gave us the tour and is the host (for 25 years!) of the evening weeknight kids music show on XPN. We're checking out the accoustics in the room where they record a lot of the World Cafe sessions.
There's a double paned window that's sound proof and we tested it thoroughly:
