One Month!

WynnGuy is one month old today.

We got up this morning and it was like he was a new kid!  He's more alert and interactive than ever.  After a clean diaper, warm clothes and a belly full of milk he gave us his first happy smiles!  The camera was right there so I captured it all:

Life is good for Wynn.  

He had a check up today and the stats are as follows:

Height 21.75 inches (apparently they measured wrong at his birth!)

Head Circumference: 40 cm

Weight: 11 lbs, 14 ounces!

Oly gained exactly 3 pounds in her first month, but Wynn has some catching up to do because even though he's bigger than she was, he has only gained 2 pounds, 10 ounces.  He spits up and Oly never did, so he's a little wasteful.  Another baby off the charts!

Our buddy Adam came to visit, a little later than with Oly, but he and Colleen are pretty busy preparing for their little boy who's arriving in a couple weeks.  

Today also would have been the 70th birthday of George Harrison.  On the day of Wynn's birth, when we arrived at the hospital and settled down to have a baby, we put on some of George's music to listen to during labor.  I love his solo work and Timmy loves me, it felt like a very good vibe to bring a person into the world to.  Some time during labor, one of us brought up the idea that Harrison would be a fantastic middle name if we ended up having a Wynn!  For maybe 30 minutes we were really considering it.  But in the end, we are very happy naming him after his Mama, his Grandpa, and his Great Grandparents.  Although naming him after his Mama's favorite Beatle would have been cool too.  Happy Birthday George!  The world was a better place with you in it!
