10 Days Old

Go to the Nana and Grandpa Blog on the right for many more fantastic Wynn pictures.

Delicious short rib dinner made by Papa Guy:

Wynn's first trip to Iron Hill!!!!!

Oly's been a fairy for a few days and says that a very special milestone was passed last night:
Wynn's wings grew in!  They're still very tiny though so he needs her magic to fly until he gets older.

She really, really loves him.  And not just for show so we'll take pictures of her (this is a very tiny sample of all the times she's held him since he arrived).  She seems to love him for all of the reasons anyone loves their baby: they're super cute, warm, cuddly, they grasp your finger, they gaze up into your eyes, they share your DNA.

Very special first: Tim got to feed his child a bottle.  Oly didn't take a bottle until she was a toddler when we supplemented her with "vanilla milkshakes" (soy formula).  As a baby she refused every single one even though it was full of the pumped milk she drank 14 times a day, no matter how many different bottles we bought.  For Wynn at 10 days old, we tried 2 ounces of warmed pumped milk and the kid HOUSED it.  Papa gets to feed his son every night from now on and the warm and fuzzy feelings it gives him is overwhelming.

OK, so now you know, boys are so much easier. We didn't want to tell you before. When girls grow up they are very close to their family (after age 28 to 32) and unfortunately boys grow more independent and distant to their families.

Girls can be very challenging from age 12 to 28. Boys can be just wonderful until about age 20. Ah parenthood! Enjoy it when it is good.

These pictures are precious. So glad that Oly is so sweet to her Wynn.

Little did I know when I got it that the pretty dress would sprout wings worn by a fairy who would tenderly shelter her baby brother. ya just don't know what's going to happen with a gift when you give it. This was most unexpected. Very sweet pictures. Wish I was there for baby and fairy smooching and hugs.
