We trekked up to Ithaca for Amy's Big Time Book and Birthday Party! Oly wasn't particularly jazzed about the book part of the weekend, she thinks that Amy just wrote that one copy for us to read, so it's not really THAT big of a deal.
Here she is looking at that copy saying importantly, "The Book. By Aunt Amy. That's what it says."

But she couldn't stop talking about the Birthday part and was extremely eager to get there.
Jay started her on chores right away, checking the maple trees:
We all enjoyed drinking a small taste of what we'd found. In this picture Amy is saying, "Ooooooookay I think you've had enough!"
Then it was time for a Cousin Bath. Notice Jasper's attitude in this photo?
He was scooped out and dried off early for not sharing space in the tub and whaddaya know? Kiddo was exhausted. He slept for about 2 hours there on the bath mat.
Then it was time to go to the Reading at Ithaca's local bookstore!

Then we locked the kids upstairs with a babysitter and it was TIME TO PARTY!
There are many other photos that again, I'll let others share. But a grand time was had by all! Happy Book and Birthday Amy!
The drive home the next morning was quiet, as three family members slept the entire way.
Yes you read that right, 3 family members could sleep while Mama drove because we stole Nana away from the Reading/Farmers to come hang with the Reading/MacDonalds for a few days.
Just like last year, we decided to dye eggs.
