Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving afternoons always have football and delicious snacks.

Truffle Salami and Parma ham:

Manchego and another salty, rich cheese whose name I forgot:

Oysters!

Let's get another look at that Parma, eh?

Here's Oly doing legos in a festive holiday skirt.:

Notice the color of her tower? This one was taken a few days ago:

She only builds with those colors and we find the orange, yellow and red underneath the couch and the bookshelves. She has a very specific vision apparently.

And here she is fishing alphabet magnets from underneath the fridge, which kept her busy while we cooked:

Ladies with Champagne:

And finally, dinner!

Garlic green beans:

A 5.25 lb. bird from a local farm, it looked a little scrawny but tasted AMAZING.

Homemade cranberry sauce with orange:

And discs of the canned sauce for Mama:

Stuffing:

It helps to have a floral expert staying at your house, you get beautiful bouquets like this:

Oly ate a whole turkey breast, 2 rolls, probably 10 green beans and cranberry sauce:

Then she had her first pumpkin pie, which we'll be having more often because hearing "Mow punkin' pie!" is the cutest thing ever.

Chris was very interested in the Parma Ham!!! We missed all of you for Thanksgiving. We had a nice ham from Andels and rolls, green beans, and scalloped potatoes. Dan took a plate over to Mary, along with a slice of apple cake, while we cleaned up. When he got back, we had marionberry pie with vanilla ice cream and started on a brand new jigsaw puzzle. Pretty good day, except Chris was having allergy problems. Threw all the flowers out this morning.
