Super Cute Things that Oly Says:

Oh! It's good to see you!

Hi Mama, I'm Oly.

Ooooh! I have an idea! Dat's a good idea.

Papa, let's think about Mama.

(leaping on top of you on the couch): Here comes me!

The Rest of Thanksgiving Weekend

Friday night we went downtown to Media where Santa showed up on a firetruck. I hear this week he's going up and doing the same thing in Trumansburg. He's a busy guy! For Olympia, the firetruck was the main draw. She talks about "Santa Closet" quite a bit, but she isn't totally sure what's in it for her yet.

She has started to climb into Papa's lap and announce that it's "Snuggle Time!" We always obey:

Saturday was Mama's birhday and we had Dutch Babies for breakfast! Oly's a fan.

Then we opened presents and she really enjoyed my loot:

Then we had my favorite recipe, Braised Ox Tails with oranges! It sounds weird, but it's the best.

Super delicious and unhealthy salad:

Roasted carrots (Oly asked me to get the dirt off of them before she would eat them)

And then after having constant birthday cake and thanksgiving pie, we decided to go light and have ice cream sundaes:

Here's the Punkin' Pie video I promised you:

And can anyone guess what Oly means when she yells, "Tai Bown!!!!"? Two points for the winner.

She used to be little.

Tim and I had a marathon Baby-Oly video watching session a few weeks ago, and I thought I'd post these, two of my favorite. They didn't seem remarkable enough to post at the time, but now that she's all grown up they're amazing to us.

This one shows the hillbilly accent she used to have:

And this shows how excited Sesame Street used to make her:

Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving afternoons always have football and delicious snacks.

Truffle Salami and Parma ham:

Manchego and another salty, rich cheese whose name I forgot:

Oysters!

Let's get another look at that Parma, eh?

Here's Oly doing legos in a festive holiday skirt.:

Notice the color of her tower? This one was taken a few days ago:

She only builds with those colors and we find the orange, yellow and red underneath the couch and the bookshelves. She has a very specific vision apparently.

And here she is fishing alphabet magnets from underneath the fridge, which kept her busy while we cooked:

Ladies with Champagne:

And finally, dinner!

Garlic green beans:

A 5.25 lb. bird from a local farm, it looked a little scrawny but tasted AMAZING.

Homemade cranberry sauce with orange:

And discs of the canned sauce for Mama:

Stuffing:

It helps to have a floral expert staying at your house, you get beautiful bouquets like this:

Oly ate a whole turkey breast, 2 rolls, probably 10 green beans and cranberry sauce:

Then she had her first pumpkin pie, which we'll be having more often because hearing "Mow punkin' pie!" is the cutest thing ever.

Olympia gets a recorder

Boofday Parwee

Forgot to say: When you ask Oly how old she is, she says, "I'm fine!"

After the huge Halloween Party we had recently, we envisioned just getting Oly a birthday balloon and cake. But the day after Halloween when I mentioned that her birthday was soon she said, "Boofday! Parwee! Candles! Cake! Fwiends! Fun!!!!!". Oh sheesh.

So Monday we took cake and icecream along to the Borough Community Playroom where we meet our friends every week.

She put on her fancy coat that she received from Nana when she was only a few months old. I remember opening it up two years ago and thinking, "My baby will never be big enough to wear this huge coat."

It was 10 in the morning and we had cake and icecream first so they would all hopefully nap at noon.

Ruthie was a fan:

Lets get a close up of that adorable face:

The gang:

Michael:

The ice cream is gone:

Nate:

Grandma Pony with Nate's little brother Alex (I'm positive she pinched him so he would wake up and she could offer to rock him):

Here's Oly kissing Baby Alex:

Then after her nap (yes, she did sleep thank goodness) we went to the pet store so Grandma could get her 2 goldfish!:

Birthday Dinner

Nana came before dinner which made the day feel so special!

We opened her presents before dinner. From Nana and Grandpa she received many glittery stickers (you'll probably notice that they're covering our clothes in the other pictures):

Tiny Dinosoar guys from Grandma Pony:

From Lucy and Jasper she received many great presents, including a new stuffed dog that she named "Blue". The best however, was a present that Jasper thought of all by himself:

My birthday's coming up and I'd like bottles of Advil!

For dinner we made her favorite, pasta with meatballs. Here she is high-fiving Papa about how great her presents, dinner and balloons are:

Then there was CAKE!

"Two!"

After dinner she opened another present from her parents, "Vegos!"
