Cape May For The Day

We spent the day 'down the shore' with Tommy and his family.  The morning started out wonderfully breezy and cool, then turned to sunny and scorching.  Ashley, Tim and I each spent HOURS holding Oly's hand in the surf and letting the waves wash over us.  She squealed with delight the same way every single time.

In going back and looking at these pictures of the water, I think about how cold the Pacific is and it would be hard to get anyone to spend so much time in our water without a wet or dry suit.

The Atlantic is definitely cold, I need about 10 minutes to slowly inch my way in. But once you get used to it it feels great. I remember one of the first days Tim and I spent together as teenagers was out at Deception Pass and he stripped down to his underwear and jumped into the ocean! It was November! I guess he was trying to impress me.
