But we're fostering a puppy for a week for the SPCA. They got a "shipment in from Kentucky" and the pups need to be quarantined for a week before they join the others at the shelter just in case they're carrying kennel cough or Parvo virus.
Oly's actually having less fun than we thought she would. She's jealous of the attention that Tim and I have to give him, and even though he's the mellowest puppy I've ever met in my life, he's just unpredictable enough that she's said a couple times, "He just makes me nerbus."
But he's super snuggly. The shelter named him Blue, which is pretty perfect since Oly has a stuffed animal that Lucy got her named Blue, my Mom taught her an old country song about a dog named Ol' Blue, and when she was a baby she looooved playing with Allisons dog Blue.
He laid on us while we watched a movie and then slept in his crate silently allllll night. But this is information I should be saving for his Petfinder.com profile!

Aaahhhhhhh! I'll be there FIRST THING IN THE MORNING to meet your new creature. Literally the only thing that will keep me from showing up at your door is more pictures. LOTS of pictures. I'm very familiar with the low-level jealousy scenario that you mention. Lucy just LOVED whenever Shady pup got in trouble.
Blue is the shiniest puppy I have ever seen. Puppies can be a little unpredictable. I saw a really cute puppy in Texas - all legs and paws.
SERIOUSLY....how are you going to give that puppy back? He has adopted YOU! Blue looks awful comfy asleep in Tim's lap, stretched out on the sofa, and snuggled next to Oly. Go ahead and fill out that petfinder.com profile if you feel you must, but then I think you're just going to have to answer it yourself.
