Record Snow, Record Fun!

Olympia is growing so fast! Here are some of her new tricks:

Taking off her diaper
She can eat with a fork and spoon (mostly)
Pretending to feed her stuffed animals cheerios and sippy cups
Grabbing something she's not supposed to have (remote, blackberry, etc) and then running away as fast as she can when we try to take it back from her
Understanding that it's hilarious when Papa puts on Mama's baby blue knit hat
Throwing a giant fit when we won't let her watch Oly videos on the computer
Sweeping (see video at the bottom)
Squirming so much when we try to put her clothes on that it's like dressing a cat
and last but not least, Scowling.

Some of her new words: cat, meow, night-night, Ga-ga, ball, baby, Mama.

Tim's annual office party was last weekend and we cleaned up nice- except for Oly who's a little jungle girl (she stayed at home with Grandma and learned how to chop onions with her fingers curled back.)

We had some great snow this weekend and Oly loved it.

Then yesterday we got a couple more feet- it's up to the back door! The blizzard was so much fun! (Except maybe for Timmy, who was the one who shoveled the car and sidewalk every other hour all day) And we all experienced our first REAL Emergency Alert on the TV! They closed down all of the highways (including the Turnpike) and were ticketing anyone who drove on the roadways. We stayed cozy inside all day reading books and eating food. Perfection.

As long as we don't lose power (from the top left down in the photo are our power lines covered in ice with heavy tree limbs resting on them), this will always be one of my favorite pictures ever:

That child has personality coming out every pore. I LOVE SO MUCH the photo of her in the diaper and the ones of her making smoochy lips. My kids throw giant fits when I don't show them Oly vidoes too.

Too cute! I show this blog to a coworker and she always thanks me for sharing, it is a nice way to start the day with Oly videos! Great faces!!! Karen, you are not seriously thinking about coming back to the west coast and leaving them back there are you? The snow is so pretty. Looks like here last Christmas. Everybody thinks spring is here in WWA. I keep warning them it is only the first part of February and it could still get very cold. They are choosing to ignore my warnings.
Love, Aunt Margie
