Pako!

New word for peek-a-boo.

Sick of Snow

We finally became well enough on a day that the temperature went above 37, so we tried to venture out:

None of the playgrounds were shoveled out! We just walked back and forth along the sidewalk. It was so sad.

Warning

The videos are still being weird on Blogger so if you can't see the videos in the previous posts go to our youtube account.

Movie 1

Olympia is a nurturer. Her bears and dolls eat and drink before she does. She's also trying to figure out a way to get a pacifier in their mouths. At play dates she takes food away from her friends so that she can feed them, bite by bite. Here are 2 videos showing tiny clips from the 15 minutes she spent in her chair rocking her baby doll to sleep this evening. Apparently she was having a hard time settling down and she needed some milk.

Movie 2

Guess she's going to need to just wear t-shirts from now on.

Sick at the Bar

We all have miserable colds. So between the sickness and the snow we've barely left the house.

But today we ventured out and had lunch at Iron Hill. Oly had limes,

and a few pickles for lunch. She's still feeling rotten so I didn't argue with her.

And, I mean come on, look at this face.

I have taken some great videos over the last few days- but blogger won't load them! Here are some stills to hold you over until we fix the glitch.

Twoo Wuv

Tommy and Olympia hadn't seen each other in over a month and were SO excited to be reunited.

Tommy was maybe a little more excited than Oly.

You'll remember that he learned this style of 'aggressive affection' from Miss Oly so don't feel too bad for her.

This kid is CUTE:

Ok, maybe you could feel a teeny bit bad for her.

Record Snow, Record Fun!

Olympia is growing so fast! Here are some of her new tricks:

Taking off her diaper
She can eat with a fork and spoon (mostly)
Pretending to feed her stuffed animals cheerios and sippy cups
Grabbing something she's not supposed to have (remote, blackberry, etc) and then running away as fast as she can when we try to take it back from her
Understanding that it's hilarious when Papa puts on Mama's baby blue knit hat
Throwing a giant fit when we won't let her watch Oly videos on the computer
Sweeping (see video at the bottom)
Squirming so much when we try to put her clothes on that it's like dressing a cat
and last but not least, Scowling.

Some of her new words: cat, meow, night-night, Ga-ga, ball, baby, Mama.

Tim's annual office party was last weekend and we cleaned up nice- except for Oly who's a little jungle girl (she stayed at home with Grandma and learned how to chop onions with her fingers curled back.)

We had some great snow this weekend and Oly loved it.

Then yesterday we got a couple more feet- it's up to the back door! The blizzard was so much fun! (Except maybe for Timmy, who was the one who shoveled the car and sidewalk every other hour all day) And we all experienced our first REAL Emergency Alert on the TV! They closed down all of the highways (including the Turnpike) and were ticketing anyone who drove on the roadways. We stayed cozy inside all day reading books and eating food. Perfection.

As long as we don't lose power (from the top left down in the photo are our power lines covered in ice with heavy tree limbs resting on them), this will always be one of my favorite pictures ever:

Update

We didn't abandon all of you! Our computer was out of commission for a little bit, but we're back! Here are some great pictures from the past week:

Grandma Pony is here! Today Oly called her GaGa, which of course means she needs a whole new wardrobe.

Mowgli:

We've had lots and lots of snow! This many inches:

Yes. I did take a picture before I picked her up.

Our car is under there somewhere....

Today we stayed inside and did some art:

And also ate some art:

A bench!

On a bench with Nate!

This kid was a total stranger- they just connected. She kept trying to kiss him and would look up at me, furious, when she bonked her forehead on the glass.
