Oly goes to the mall

We were good and took more pictures today! Grandma held her all day again and was over the moon. She keeps saying, "Olympia I've been waiting my whole life to meet you. I love you more than anything in the world. You're the cutest baby that ever lived." Dana and I have decided we would like to be called 'Chopped' and 'Liver', respectively from now on.

Here she is sleeping on a blanket my Grandma Betty made for me when I was born.
Here she is on a beautiful blanket that her Aunt Amy made for her and recently arrived in the mail. There will be better pictures to follow that showcase the blanket and not just the baby, but we thought Amy would appreciate seeing her work put to good use. Of course, Oly Lou is in her usual pose. We LOVE the blanket- and apparently the blog senses our excitement because it insists on underlining this whole paragraph.
Here's the fam at Iron Hill for lunch. Tim and I have been dreaming of taking her to this restaurant for about nine months. It did not disappoint. She was not the only baby at the brewery, but definitely the cutest. She slept the whole time and our waitress couldn't believe how cute she was, and how good she was.
Then we went to the King of Prussia mall! On a Saturday! During the holidays! Only certain people will understand what a ridiculous undertaking this was. Here she is getting her diaper changed in a public place for the second time, eight minutes after Tim had the honor of performing the first.

Here she is wondering about the questionable fashions of Wet Seal. Hopefully she'll never shop at this store. Two guesses as to who sent the adorable pink Flyers shirt. The lovely knitted booties and cap are from Aunt Amy. We are especially grateful to have the cap and booties as the weather has grown a bit colder here. Oly has worn them every day since Amy's package arrived on Wednesday.

It is pretty safe to assume that we will see this ensemble repeatedly, until she outgrows them all, especially if the Flyers keep winning in overtime when she wears this outfit.
When we left the mall it was snowing! The holidays are here!
Tomorrow we'll have pictures of putting up the christmas tree! Tim just told me to not make promises on the blog that we're not sure we can keep. Anyway, we plan on getting our tree tomorrow.

I spent a lot of time imagining the baby for whom I was knitting, and now it is so gratifying to know that it is Oly whom I was already loving so much. But are those booties too small?! Watch out, world, she's growing fast.
