BIG NEWS!

The house was built in 1950, but it feels older- in a good way! (The other houses we had been looking at were 215 years older than this one, so it feels like new construction to us.) It was a craftsman bungalow until the nineties when the current owners put on a second floor, but they did a fantastic job and the whole house feels complete and original.  It's less than a mile from 7th street, but not easily walkable to town because it's on a windy road with no sidewalks. The lot is a little less than half an acre, shaped like a pie slice.  It's 5 bedrooms, but two are downstairs and we have big plans to remove one wall to make the living room bigger.  Tim obviously has GRAND ideas for the kitchen, we'll probably change its whole footprint.  We're having a wood stove installed too.  All of this is in the 2 year plan however because we're very eager to settle in on December 11th and really get to know the place before we make any changes to it.  We'll have a cozy Christmas in our new place.

We'll share lots more pictures once they're taken because the pictures from the listing are terrible.  In fact, our realtor had to drag me to see the house because I thought it looked so lame.  Very glad she's also our friend and neighbor because she knew we would love the vibe of the place immediately.  We did.  And we can't wait for everyone to come visit us because we know you'll love it too!

Halloween 2014

We did the two blocks of Seventh Street, but still she got 85 pieces of candy, 10 of which were king sized candy bars.  We told one neighbor that we were sending them over for breakfast the next morning and she gave them MORE candy.  I guess she likes our little ones.

Oly did our face paint.

Wynnie is not the kind of kid who likes costumes (yet). So we were kitties.

Oly was a Monarch Butterfly.  Here she is with her classmate Kermit at the Elementary School parade:
