Super Fun Fair Day
Like last year, we went to the Okehocking Preserve's Fall Fest. It was rescheduled due to a rain delay, so there were no pony rides, but there was......
FroYo:
And face painting!
Tragically unphotographed was petting goats, snakes, bearded dragons, chickens and rabbits.
She made a crown at a craft table, and practiced making corn meal with a giant rock:
Then Ruthie showed up too and we had a whole herd of butterflies:
"Mom, I'm just takin' a bweak."
She conked out before we were out of the driveway. (She took the butterfly paint off with a baby wipe once we got in the car.)

Preschool Classroom
Here's a picture my friend Ana Liza sent me: a corner that comprises about 1/4 of the classroom, Oly and I doing some playdough to warm up to the morning. The woman in the purple shirt is her head teacher Molly, and the woman with the glasses is the co-teacher Carol. The woman in the blue dress sitting across from us is Kim, who was a preschool teacher for many years before becoming the admissions coordinator for the school. Oly knows her well and she's been key in helping her feel better about starting her day. I think Kim really misses the preschool kids, but I imagine she enjoyes going back to her quiet office and drinking coffee too.
What We've Been Up To
Took Oly out to a nice restaurant and even with great books and fizzy juice she was completely horrible.
Here she is about to go to her first morning of 5-day preschool! Much differently than last year, she's not so sure about it. Once she gets there and warms up she has a great time but she feels 'nerbus' about it a lot.
We went together to the aquarium and had a BLAST. Except for the tank full of Rays. They were cute, and you could pet them, but as you can sort of see from above Oly's head in the photo below- the huge ones kept trying to get out and pet US. Their friendliness made us feel a little uneasy.
This picture reminds me of another one from when she was little, but I can't find it on the blog and I'm car sick from scrolling.
Unimpressed Waxy Monky Frog is unimpressed.
Not a real penguin:
If Oly puts up a sign saying that it's Mothers Day, then it's Mothers Day.
