Clifford and Curls

Humidity does gorgeous things to Oly's curls, I'm going to start calling her Shirley Temple.

"Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeese"

The Easter Bunny never found a tiny stuffed Clifford for Oly, I'm sure he was thiiiiiiis close to ordering a vintage one on Ebay, but decided against it. And then, what showed up the next day in the mail?

A tiny Clifford from Auntie Bev! Yay! It hasn't left her sight since, except for yesterday morning when she went to Michael's house and opted for it to stay in my purse while I ran errands so that she wouldn't have to share him. Thank you Auntie Bev!

Bad Naps.

Oly had two naps yesterday, neither one where she's supposed to.

A walk on the way to the playground:

Halfway through a grocery store trip:

Skateboard

Our morning plans were derailed by a major two-year-old tantrum and this old video from last spring is making me feel better.

Wing Awound Da Wosie

From a couple weeks ago:

(The second verse I had never heard until moving here to PA. It goes, "The cows are in the meadow, eating buttercups. Thunder! Lightning! We all stand up!)

Easter Weekend: Sunday

Easter morning we laid in bed for awhile before reminding Oly what the Easter Bunny had hid for her downstairs. We got right to it:

All of the candy went straight into her belly, and all of the money went into her piggy bank:

Her Easter Basket was full of goodies, including new toothbrushes and toothpaste, special child sized chopsticks, the shark tattoos, new puzzles, a jar of tennis balls, her very first Peeps:

A chocolate bunny (which we let her have after a bath? Why on earth did we do that?)"

And cool new sunglasses:

The rest of the afternoon passed by uneventfully. Petting our dogs:

brushing our teeth:

And then for dinner we had the best lamb ever! Papa roasted a leg of lamb to perfection and we devoured it (along with asparagus):

And lucky for us there's enough for several more dinners to come.

Happy Spring! New garden posts coming soon....

Easter Weekend: Friday and Saturday

We had an amazing spring weekend together. On Friday we went to "Phoo-wee-dehw-fee-uh" to pick up some of easter dinner and see what we could see. Here we are in the "parking building", where Oly asked if we could now live:

Here she is posing adorably in front of a frog statue in Rittenhouse Park:

We played in the park for a loooong time, playing "Chase Me Papa! Chase Me!", practicing asking strangers politely, "may I pet your dog please?" and then petting said dogs.

We looked at skyscrapers:

And had lunch at Parc Bistro! Again, she ate all of my Trout Amandine.

Then Saturday morning we went to our friends Samantha and Kathryn's house for an easter egg hunt. I have almost ZERO pictures of Dane and Katie's gorgeous girls, but I do have one of Kenai, of course:

The hunt was fruitful!:

A great haul of jelly beans and pennies:

Nanas Visit So Far

LOTS of painting:

Kites, which were considerably less successful:

She just could not stop herself from running towards the kite while it was flying, causing it to dive straight to the ground every time.

We colored hard-boiled eggs,

and ate some too.

This little racoon is having such a great time!
