YMCA Egg Hunt

Today we went to the Y, of which we are members, to participate in what we thought would be a massive outdoor egg hunt. It was raining on and off all day so the "hunt" was in the gym instead. The eggs weren't really hidden so much as strewn about the basketball court. But this information is totally irrelevant to Olympia's story because she never got anywhere near an egg. When we arrived she did this:

She's saying and 'signing', "Hop! Hop! Hop!" because she can't say bunny yet.

Then we went into the gym full of people:

And she went for the door to chase the Easter Bunny about 30 times, then grabbed a basketball and played with it down the hallway.

Maybe she's too young for easter?

Superior Athlete

Oly had a great visit from her buddy Adam, who was her very first visitor after she was born. Here she is talking about the buttons on his shirt.

Then today we returned to the dog park with Mama so we could kick the 'ole ball around.

Papa Day

Hallie finally cashed in her Christmas present (a day at the spa), so I got to spend the day with Oly, just the two of us. The weather was gorgeous so we went to the park. She was pretty enthralled with her Papa, until the oranges and raisins ran out, then she was pretty distracted...

...she stalked these two adorable little girls for a long time before finally getting the nerve to approach them. I have a video of this, but it is no different than the picture as she just stared at them slack jawed for about ten minutes. They were good sports as they just played and played and then would occasionally look at the weird girl gawking at them, and then crack up.

It was a great day for a little girl who loves dogs. She got to meet a chocolate lab, an English cocker spaniel, a golden retriever, a big dog named Dozer (can't remember the breed), and countless other dogs that I can't even remember. It was constant dog stimulation. At one point she decided to she had had enough with our dog-less family and tried to join the one below. We'll have to remedy this situation soon.

We finished the day up with a trip to Wolff's to get some vegetables and fruit, and then came home for some rice and beans and a little NCAA tourney action. It was a pretty good day (and I think Mom would agree).

Giggles

Oly loves youtube! Here she is watching a boxer balance a cookie on his nose, then catch it in his mouth when his owner said "ok." Our future dog has a lot to live up to.

The Library

We go to the library on a rainy day and what does this little book-lover want to do? ANYTHING but get near a book.

She played house,

and fought off an intruder (Tommy).

Just Dropped Grandpa Off at the Airport

That is one sad baby.

Hide and Seek

Notice that she's not laughing? This is no joke- it's serious business apparently.

Grandpa Needs an iPhone Tutorial

One million dollars for anyone who can guess the story that goes along with these pictures....

From Grandpa's Camera

Her face while she watches videos of herself on the computer:

Shocked!

"Ok, yeah, just give me the shar pei puppy. I'll hold onto it for safe keeping."

Talking Tricks

Gawpah

Grandpa Dave is here! Oly hopped right into his lap to listen to his superb Cookie Monster voice read a Sesame Street book.

She has called him Gaga a few times, but this afternoon "Gawpah" came out and we can't stop needling her into saying it again and again.

No more snow!

Grandpa brought all of his Flyers swag for the games that they're going to...

But you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see the pictures of Oly wearing the backwards caps.
